In Remembrance

"[…] they stand upon a wall and say, 'Nothing's going to hurt you tonight, not on my watch.'"

-- Galloway, "A Few Good Men"

Depending on where you're from, this day is commemorated differently, but it all comes down to the remembrance of those that have served their country.

I strongly believe that service to one's people is one of the highest callings one can follow. Not everyone does it in the same way, but our men and women in uniform often do it by going in harm's way and doing what must be done, sometimes at the expense of their very lives.

Today, most of us live under the umbrella of freedom made possible by the service of such individuals, past and present.

Today, we here at Casa de Grimmtooth remember those that have served, past and present, and give thanks to them.

To those I have served with, I am honored to have done so. To those that I never knew, Godspeed.

Wars come and wars go, but honorable service lives forever in the hearts of the People.
