Good news, bad news

I've got a new hat. This is the Tier 4 helm for Hunters, and wouldn't you believe it, even with gems it still lacks a little bit of what that eye patch brings to the table. Must be the wee little skull and crossbones.

That's the good news.

The bad news is that an incident yesterday has sparked a firestorm of /gquits, some from people that have been with the guild a long time, and a few fence-sitters that may not be there by the time I return, due to the fact that some that left are friends of theirs. Can't fault sticking with your friends, but still.

I got some feedback from a go-between and its pretty ugly. Granted, I am going to lay a huge amount of responsibility on those that quit, because they never once said anything to a guild officer. But we as a guild also need to get our crap in one sock. Our websites are neglected, our raiding policies are hollow and with no meaning, and the troops are seeing favoritism and lots of it, whether it exists or not is irrelevant.

To illustrate how bad it is, something as innocent as five friends doing a heroic together is seen as favoritism at this point. Not that anyone actually, you know, asked.

My meatspace avatar is going to go cut the grass and hope his guild is still there when he returns.
